Successful space planning is the harmonious organization of the elements than focus on individual elements themselves
OTTAWA INTERIOR DECORATION:
A common misconception in commercial office renovation is that certain area has to be at an assumed location based on impression. For example, stockroom has to be at the back of the room, at the furthest end from the entrance. It does not necessarily be so. By placing it far end to the entrance/exit makes stock-in & stock-out inconvenient, and may create disturbance to the office operations. In the process, the flooring in between may wear off prematurely.
If stockroom can be place near to the entrance, with appropriate locks and security measure, stock-in & stock-out will take lesser time with much more convenience.
Space planning for commercial office is about relativity of the functions of various areas. For instance, the conference room is ideally located away from the main operations of the business (or important functions of the business) and CEO’s room is usually placed near to the accounts department. Fundamentally, it is the harmonious relationships among the elements (space functions) that determine the success of the office interior design.
